On November 20, Halifax Partnership and the Halifax Regional Municipality held the inaugural meeting of CEO Climate Action Charter signatories. The CEO Climate Action Charter encourages signatories to take meaningful climate action using the unique operational levers of their respective organizations, while demonstrating leadership within our community.
As we recognize how climate change has affected our region in recent years, the CEO Climate Action Charter will further enable Halifax, and the leaders who operate here, to work together to meet the urgent municipal and provincial climate action goals.
Fostering collaboration between business and municipal leaders, the Charter will support the growth of the green economy and materially reduce carbon emissions and support the goals of both Halifax’s ambitious climate action plan, HalifACT and Planet. People. Prosperity. Halifax’s Inclusive Economic Strategy 2022-27.
