Halifax Partnership Reports on 2022-23 Results & Elects New Board at Today's Annual General Meeting

Halifax Partnership held its 2023 Annual General Meeting today at the Westin Nova Scotian with over 100 Investors, business leaders, and community members in attendance.

The Partnership shared results and achievements from 2022-2023 and announced its 2023-2024 Board of Directors and its 2023-2024 Emerging Leaders and Innovators Advisory Board. Over the past year, Halifax Partnership worked with its private, public, and post-secondary Investors and partners to support over 500 businesses and 400 newcomers and post-secondary graduates in growing and succeeding in Halifax.

The annual general meeting showcased local businesses and organizations supporting sustainable growth in Halifax. Speakers included: Don Bureaux, President of the Nova Scotia Community College, who spoke about the recently launched CEO Climate Action Charter and NSCC’s role in climate action; Dr. Will Burt, Chief Ocean Scientist with Planetary Technologies; and Liam Cook, Owner of Navigate Energy.

The Annual General Meeting, led by Cory Bell, Chair of the Board, included the election of the 2023-2024 Board of Directors and the 2023-24 Emerging Leaders and Innovators Advisory Board. Halifax Partnership is governed by a 19-member Board of Directors representing a diverse cross-section of Halifax business, government, and community leaders, whose work is informed by an 11-member advisory board.
