April 23, 2024 - Halifax, NS – The Halifax Chamber of Commerce and Halifax Partnership are hosting Mayor Mike Savage for a sold-out luncheon and his final State of the Municipality on April 25 at the Halifax Convention Centre, presented by RBC.

Hear Mayor Savage reflect on his transformative 12 years at the helm of our city, as well as delving into discussions about the current surge in growth and paths towards the future. Mayor Savage will take the stage at approximately 12:40PM.

“Mayor Savage has been a true advocate and leader for our city over these last 12 years,” says Patrick Sullivan, President and CEO of the Halifax Chamber of Commerce. “As Chair of the Canadian Federation of Municipalities, he advocated for municipalities across the country at the federal level and as the Chief Salesperson for Halifax he also played a key role in bringing large projects and events here like the Halifax Convention Centre, the HFX Wanderers and most recently, the North American Indigenous Games. The Halifax Chamber wishes Mayor Savage all the best and thanks him for his cooperation with us as we advocated for better policymaking and a stronger economy for businesses in Halifax.”

“I cannot overstate the role that Mayor Savage plays in driving economic growth and prosperity in our municipality and beyond. In addition to being an active member of our Board of Directors, the Mayor's passion for our city, combined with his business acumen, is our secret weapon as we work to attract business, talent, and investment here,” says Wendy Luther, President & CEO of Halifax Partnership. “All of Halifax Partnership’s work is guided by People. Planet. Prosperity. Halifax’s Inclusive Economic Strategy 2022 to 2027.
