This month, we spoke with Ryan Burrowes and Paul McNally of Warehouse Transport Group.
Tell us about the Warehouse Transport Group and the opportunities or challenges ahead.
The Warehouse Transport Group (WTG) is a 4PL solutions provider focused on logistics, project cargo management, and warehousing for discerning clients throughout North America and beyond.
Through our guiding principles of integrity, trust, and motivation, WTG continues to leverage our 50+ years of experience into consistent customer satisfaction. As leading change agents our Halifax Omnichannel Warehouse (HOW) project will be realized throughout 2020 and 2021 and will create an energy of abundance throughout Nova Scotia.
What do you see as the greatest advantages of operating a business in Halifax?
From our lens, Halifax is the place to be. A thriving economy, a diverse and growing population, and a sophisticated, modern port translates into one word: success. To WTG, success occurs when preparation intersects with opportunity, hence success is ‘knocking on our door’ in Halifax. Hiring youth is important to the economic growth of Nova Scotia – what are Warehouse Transport Group’s plans to support emerging talent in our province?
Dedicated to our Halifax Omnichannel Warehouse, we project an opening employment opportunity of 20 personnel growing to 80 in 18-24 months. All levels will be required, including senior to mid-management, a sophisticated IT team, warehouse personnel, and general labour including sponsorship and mentoring programs.
