On October 17, Atlantic Canada’s top entrepreneurs came together for the annual EY Entrepreneur of the Year awards gala. Each year, EY celebrates excellence in Canadian entrepreneurship and selects nominees from around the country. For the Atlantic Region, EY nominated noteworthy entrepreneurs in seven categories.

This year, three of seven Atlantic Region winners were Halifax entrepreneurs. For the technology category, Kevin Springer and Kyle Racki of Proposify received the award. Chris Dobbin of Nova Leap Health Corp was the winner in the Health and Wellness category. And for emerging entrepreneur of the year, Laurie MacKeigan of Backman Vidcom took home the top prize.
