Government of Nova Scotia
Nova Scotia is creating one of the most competitive and business-friendly environments in Canada. We’re clearing the way for sustainable private sector growth to make this province a more attractive place to do business and encourage entrepreneurship.
The Department of Labour and Advanced Education offers a suite of programs to help employers innovate, including targeted wage subsidies, innovation and productivity training grants; and a wealth of tools and information about running a business that works.
The Department of Business works with partners to support and foster the innovation ecosystem in Nova Scotia. The department administers Invest Nova Scotia, a fund designed to foster innovation and collaboration that improves Nova Scotia’s competitiveness in the global economy. Decisions are made by a board of directors independent of government. The independent fund is designed to empower sectors and communities to achieve incremental competitiveness and productivity through innovative and collaborative projects.
