Canada’s Ocean Supercluster is an industry-led transformative cluster model that is driving cross-sectoral collaboration, accelerating innovation, and growing Canada’s ocean economy in a way that has never been done before. The Supercluster run a number of Innovation Ecosystem programs focused on:

  • access to shared resources
  • regional connectivity and innovative culture
  • strengthening the links between small and large companies to foster new supply chain partnerships
  • increasing commercialization from post-secondary institutions
  • encouraging new entrants into the ocean economy, both talent and companies

One of the programs they run is the Ocean Startup Project (OSP) - a co-funded, pan- Atlantic collaboration aimed at doubling the number of high-quality, ocean technology startups thriving in Atlantic Canada. The goals of the project is to accelerate how homegrown startups get their technologies to market and attract international companies to our shores.
